How To Reach Sankri Village from Dehradun:
By Air: Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the nearest airport to Raithal. One
can take a flight to Dehradun and then take a bus or taxi from Dehradun to
Uttarkashi. From Uttarkashi, shared taxis and buses are available for Raithal.
By Train: Dehradun is well-connected to major cities in India by train. One can
take a train to Dehradun and then take a bus or taxi from Dehradun to
Uttarkashi. From Uttarkashi, shared taxis and buses are available for Raithal.
By Road: One can take a bus or taxi from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. From Uttarkashi, shared taxis and buses are available for Raithal. The total distance between Dehradun and Raithal is approximately 160 km and it takes around 7-8 hours to reach.
Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1:
Raithal (2100 m) to Gui (3000 m) - 5 km, 4-5 hours
You will reach to
Raithal from Dehradun from where your trek will start. After breakfast, start
your trek to Gui, a beautiful village located at an altitude of 3000 meters.
The trail passes through dense forests, and you will get to witness beautiful
views of the surrounding mountains. Overnight stay in tents at Gui.
Day 2: Gui
(3000 m) to Dayara Bugyal (3400 m) - 6 km, 4-5 hours
Today's trek will take
you to Dayara Bugyal, one of the most beautiful alpine meadows in India. The
trail passes through lush green meadows, and you will get to witness stunning
views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Overnight stay in tents at
Dayara Bugyal.
Day 3:
Dayara Bugyal (3400 m) to Bakaria Top (3800 m) - 3 km, 2-3 hours
Today, you will trek
to Bakaria Top, which is located at an altitude of 3800 meters. The trek is
relatively easy and will take you through beautiful landscapes. From the top,
you will get to witness stunning views of the Himalayas. Overnight stay in tents
at Dayara Bugyal.
Day 4:
Dayara Bugyal (3400 m) to Raithal (2100 m) - 12 km, 5-6 hours
Today, you will trek
back to Raithal, where you will conclude your trek. The trek back is a gradual
descent, and you will get to witness beautiful views of the valley. Overnight
stay in Raithal or you can travel back to Dehradun the same day.

external factors.
